Trip Highlights

Namibia

Sossusvlei

After landing at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport and spending the night there, your journey will start. After a good night’s sleep, head south through the Namib Desert until you reach the huge red sand dunes of Sossusvlei, which have replaced the plains and rough mountains.

After spending two days in this unique desert environment, head north to the seaside city of Swakopmund, where the rich Atlantic Ocean meets the tall sand dunes and charming old buildings.

Giraffe Namibia

Damaraland

Visit Damaraland to spot highly adapted wildlife, such as the endangered desert elephant, and visit Twyfelfontein to behold Stone Age rock engravings. Any trip to Africa must include a traditional big game safari.

The most well-known game reserve in Namibia is Etosha National Park. Your safari requirements will be met if you travel to both the eastern and western sides of the park. The Okonjima Nature Reserve is your final stop before returning to Windhoek, where you can learn more about the AfriCat Foundation’s initiatives to save Namibia’s leopards and cheetahs.
