The journey opens with the power of the Zambezi River. From Victoria Falls, the route connects through Johannesburg for one night near OR Tambo International Airport. Rather than treating this as only a transit stop, the itinerary includes a two-hour Soweto tuk-tuk tour with a traditional lunch, adding a personal cultural layer before the beach portion of the journey.
The final six nights are spent at Machangulo Beach Lodge, set near Inhaca Island on Mozambique’s coastline. This is where the itinerary slows down. Ocean views, sandy paths, warm water and relaxed lodge hospitality create a strong contrast to the energy of Victoria Falls and Johannesburg.
