Echoes of Africa – Zambia & Malawi

Explore Africa with the "Echoes of Africa – Zambia & Malawi" Tour

14 Days

Culture, Safari & Serenity

This 14-day journey is a celebration of two of Southern Africa’s most captivating destinations—Malawi and Zambia. From the warm, welcoming culture of Malawi to the untamed wilderness of Zambia’s South Luangwa, this itinerary offers a deeply enriching blend of safari adventure, cultural exploration, and lakeside relaxation.

Your experience begins in Lilongwe, Malawi’s vibrant capital. After a gentle introduction to the rhythm of the region, you’ll travel to Zambia for a luxury safari in South Luangwa National Park, one of Africa’s finest wildlife sanctuaries. At Chinzombo Camp, you’ll enjoy day and night game drives, expert-guided walks, and front-row views of the Luangwa River, all from one of the most exclusive lodges in the area.

From Zambia, you return to Malawi’s Dzalanyama Forest Reserve, a tranquil haven in the Miombo woodlands. Here, scenic hikes and birding trails offer a peaceful contrast to the pulse of the safari. It’s a chance to slow down, stretch your legs, and reconnect with nature.

Next, you journey east to the pristine shores of Lake Malawi, where The Makokola Retreat awaits. This luxurious lakeside escape offers golden beaches, freshwater adventures, spa indulgence, and uninterrupted relaxation. Whether kayaking at sunrise or unwinding under palm trees, this part of the trip is pure serenity.

Finally, you explore the artistic highlands of Dedza, home to Malawi’s iconic pottery and rich cultural traditions. Visits to the Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art and nearby rock art sites reveal the deep historical and creative spirit of the region.

This cross-border journey is ideal for travelers seeking more than a typical safari. It’s a thoughtfully crafted experience where wildlife, culture, and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony.

Malawi is fast emerging as a sought-after destination for MICE, leisure, and honeymoon travel. Its peaceful settings, welcoming culture, and boutique lodges make it ideal for intimate getaways, corporate retreats, and incentive experiences. Whether it’s a forest hideaway for two, or a beachfront conference with a difference, Malawi offers authenticity, beauty, and a unique sense of place.
