Namibia Culinary Class

By taking a culinary class there, you’ll not only learn about Namibian cuisine but also gain a sense for the people and culture of the nation. Learn how to make traditional porridge in a desert climate while getting a full-body exercise. It will please vegans and vegetarians to hear that Namibia is well-known for more than simply its meat.

We’ll demonstrate some of the necessities of everyday living in Namibia, such as the cuisine that has been consumed for ages. We’ll demonstrate how to create pap, a staple dish prepared as a porridge from Mahangu. As part of the preparation for the celebration, you will receive instruction in Mahangu farming and storage. We will prepare a range of regional delicacies for our guests to sample, including goat head (also known as “smilie”) and Mopane worms, in addition to the customary beef grilled over a “braai.” For our vegetarian visitors, we have local spinach and Marula fruit available.

Most importantly, you’ll get the opportunity to socialise with Namibians in their homes while sipping beer and local beers. That’s a fantastic way to experience authentic Namibian culture. The event is suitable for children.
