Well, coming from a country with mountains, glaciers and deep coastal fjords at the other end of the world in Norway, who would’ve thought that today I’m all about Africa!
My first visit to Africa was in December 1988, and it was love at first sight. The vivid scenery, varied civilizations, and welcoming demeanor deeply resonated with me and ignited an enduring fascination for the Mother Continent.
During this time, I met Duncan Muriuki in Kenya, who was already running Destination Africa. I then crossed paths with Scott Edkins in South Africa. Together, we dreamed of building a team of experts and our journey has since continued with the addition of Desale Mitiku in Ethiopia.
Today, we have offices in Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia and Rwanda, sharing a collective experience of more than 35 years in creating incredible African experiences.
