It’s been many years since my first visit to Cape Town but those first memories are still very vivid – it left me breathless!
I can honestly say the city, framed by the majestic Table Mountain, is without a doubt the most beautiful place in the world. The scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, winding along the rugged coastline, is unforgettable and a trip to see the charming penguins at Boulders Beach is a must. I’ve been there, done that, got the t-shirt.
The famous Cape Winelands provide world-class wines and stunning landscapes. Robben Island, known for its significance in Nelson Mandela’s journey from prisoner to South African president, adds historical depth to the city. I’ve been fortunate enough to get insight from former prison guard turned friend Christo Brand during exclusive tours that are part of the Destination Africa offering.
