Add R600 to your Destination Africa booking to adopt and name an African penguin through SANCCOB. It’s a simple way to add purpose to your trip and directly support rescue-to-release conservation work.
After your adoption is processed, you’ll receive an email with your Certificate of Adoption and a letter of thanks from “your” penguin. Your contribution helps cover essential rehabilitation costs, including fish, medication, water, and ongoing care, giving penguins the best chance of returning to the wild.
Please note: For the penguins’ wellbeing, visits are not permitted during rehabilitation, and tracking is not available after release. SANCCOB will share updates where possible, based on rehabilitation milestones.
Adoptions are valid for one year from the date of issue.
