Tour at a glance

The first stop on this voyage is the Okavango Delta in Botswana, where your tranquil lodge is hidden among untamed palm trees and crooked fig trees. Take a game drive, go on a bushwalk, or simply relax. Fly to Benguerra Island in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Mozambique from there to enjoy its warm ocean and sandy beaches. You can go diving or snorkelling or just unwind in the romantic ambiance of a lodge that blends African charm with remnants of the region’s Arabic past. You have a chance of seeing the Big Five in Sandibe because it is near Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best areas in Botswana’s Okavango Delta for seeing wildlife.

There are various approaches you might take when searching for animals. Spend the day lounging at the lodge, either at the pool or on your private verandah, after the early morning game activities. When you go on your night safari, make sure to ask your ranger to show you the bat colonies that are in the vicinity.

A 15-minute helicopter journey will get you from Vilanculos to Benguerra Island. Take advantage of this slice of paradise in the Indian Ocean. On the tropical island with its beach, sand dunes, and turquoise ocean—which is home to Africa’s final population of the endangered dugong—enjoy your day at leisure (large marine mammal).

Benguerra Island, an exquisite island escape, is shielded from offshore winds by a canopy of native casuarina pine forest, which also allows for expansive vistas of the Indian Ocean. The beach and tranquil seas of a remote bay may be seen from the lodge. Straight out to sea, a deep channel allows On your private veranda, right on the sand, or in the exquisite main dining area with its open sides and cool thatched ceiling, delectable seafood dishes are served. Take advantage of the time to relax, enjoy some delicious meals, and start your beach vacation. If you must spend some time in Mozambique’s warm Indian Ocean waters, take a dhow tour or go kayaking. The bathroom’s deep copper bathtubs beckon, or take a shower outside while listening to the neighbouring waves crashing. Huge wooden verandas connect colourful beach hammocks and cool plunge pools with outdoor dining places. The nicest waters and beaches in Africa are just a few short feet down a sandy path from sheltered sun loungers on the open beach.
