BEST TIME TO GO

TOUR AT A GLANCE

Logo

Your private driver welcomes you upon arrival in Windhoek and transports you to your accommodation. The delivery of your fully insured automobile to your lodging frees up the rest of the day for you to relax or explore Namibia’s capital. You may explore the city’s shops and marketplaces, go to the State Museum to learn about Namibia’s history, or go out for a meal depending on when you arrive.

Sesriem and Sossusvlei

Since it takes almost six hours to go from Windhoek to Sesriem, we advise getting going early this morning. The majority of the roads are gravel, but they are in excellent shape, and the scenery is magnificent. To fill up on food and water for the ride, it could be worthwhile to make a stop at one of the Windhoek shops. We also advise making a quick pit stop at Solitaire if you enjoy apple pies on the way there!

Visit Namibia’s and maybe the world’s biggest sand dunes. The sand and the brilliant blue skies make for an amazing contrast. Visit Deadvlei and take a leisurely stroll across the dunes. For the ultimate dune adventure, climb “Big Daddy” for stunning views and picture ops if you have the energy. If not, you may climb Dune 45 to the summit. After lunch today, you may participate in another activity or, if you’d like, unwind by the pool and soak in the sunshine and the lovely surroundings.

You have a second full day to take advantage of the local attractions. Your tour guide can take you to Sesriem Canyon, on nature drives, or you can take use of the nearby walking trails. You may reserve a dawn hot air balloon ride here if you want to make your visit particularly memorable. The vista is breathtaking and truly once in a lifetime. Watch the sunset this evening while sipping your favourite beverage and taking in the stunning hues.

Pelican Point and Swakopmund

Today, travel for around six hours to Swakopmund, a charming colonial village on the Atlantic coast. You may spend a leisurely day touring this little colonial town’s aquarium, museum, shops, and galleries after settling into your lodging. Numerous excursions are available from Swakopmund. The most well-liked activity is sea kayaking off of Walvis Bay, where you can get up close to seals and occasionally spot dolphins.

Coastal Skeleton

Today’s journey to Mowe Bay took six hours on the coastal route, passing via the seal colony at Cape Cross. You will leave your car at Mowe Bay and take a 4×4 transfer to Shipwreck Lodge for your two-night stay. You may reserve gorgeous nature drives, hikes, and excursions to the shore itself while staying at Shipwreck Lodge to see some of the surviving shipwrecks.

Damaraland

After being returned to your vehicle, you will need to drive northeast to Palmwag for around five hours through the breathtaking Damaraland landscape. Once more, abandon your car at Palmwag and take a 4×4 to reach Desert Rhino Camp. Black rhinos may now be followed on foot and by car. With rangers and SRT members at your side, this is a very unique experience. You can take a drive or a stroll in the afternoon, or you can choose to unwind at the camp instead.

National Park of Etosha

Before being driven back to your car this morning, you can have another game drive or a stroll from Desert Rhino Camp. Self-drive to the Ongava Reserve in middle Etosha, which shares a border with the well-known Etosha National Park.

The park is yours to explore for the entire day. Since the roads are well-maintained and there are signs pointing you in the right direction, Etosha is a relatively simple park to explore on your own. At the camp, you may make reservations for a guide and safari vehicle if you’d prefer to spend some of your time in the park that way.

You can explore the region for a further whole day. If you haven’t already, take some time to experience the exclusive reserve of Ongava. Walking safaris, sunset drives, and rhino tracking are all available from here.
