Starting in Zambia’s Livingstone, where viewing Victoria Falls offers exciting activities and enjoyment on the Zambezi River, is where your journey will begin.
You may experience the tranquilly of the river and the excitement and adventure of the Falls right here, on the border of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, with only the sound of birds waking you up each morning.
Visits to the Falls, escorted nature hikes, walking rhino safaris, wildlife drives in the national park, tours of traditional villages, sunset river cruises, and fishing are just a few of the activities available. When you’re not exploring Africa’s breathtaking landscape, unwind by the infinity pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or have a glass of wine from the temperature-controlled wine cellar.
The safari phase of your trip officially starts in Botswana, where you may follow the Big 5 as well as other famous animals including wild dogs, hyenas, hippopotamuses, giraffes, zebras, and much more. Stay in genuine, unpretentious tented camps while visiting the Chobe Enclave and the renowned Okavango Delta, where you may engage in both water- and land-based safari activities including boating, canoeing, game drives, chasing animals on foot, and possibly even a helicopter flip! Wide, perennial rivers bordered with hippos and crocodiles, extensive floodplains, superb bird watching, and a variety of animals, including all the big cats and the endangered wild dog, are some of the attractions of the Linyanti region. Game drives, narrated nature walks, boating, and catch-and-release fishing are all available throughout your stay. When water levels allow, mekoro (canoe) safaris are offered, and between April and November, each visitor is treated to a half-hour helicopter trip that gives them a fresh perspective on this unique habitat.
Enter Moremi Game Reserve and the magnificent Okavango Delta, Botswana’s most famous environment. A daily light aircraft trip from Linyanti to Moremi’s eastern border will take you to the Delta. Observe how the surroundings of the Delta transition from savannah to lush woods and marshes. You will travel to the lagoon-side Khwai Leadwood after touching down at Khwai Airstrip.
You can enjoy the best of both worlds at this location, which is on the open border between the Moremi and a private community area. You can go on day game drives through the expansive Moremi and have access to additional activities on the private conservancy, like off-road driving, night drives to find elusive species, and guided nature walks through the mopane woodlands, grasslands, and river banks. When the water level is high, mekoro safaris are offered, and excursions of the adjacent village let you interact with the people and culture of the area.
The Okavango Delta’s Khwai region is renowned for having some of the greatest game watching, and it is a site where the local population coexists happily with wildlife thanks to an ecotourism and sustainable development system. The camp makes use of sustainable water practises and solar energy. It is perfect for private family vacations because it is a tiny tented camp. Suites include private bathrooms and beautiful views of the lagoon.
